Writing a letter to the mayor to tear down a dangerous abandoned house | MyPaperHub

Not only is the abandoned house at 45 Main Street an eyesore, but it also pose a health threat to the people living around this neighborhood. The abandoned house is a risk to the inhabitants of the city. For instance, children like to go playing games such as hide and seek in the house; hence, they are exposed to serious health concerns. There are some garbage that have been dumped in the house, therefore exposing children to harmful germs.

The abandoned house has as well turned out to be a nexus for crime. There have as well been many criminal behaviors taking place within that site. Since the beginning of this month, there are five people who have been robbed around that area. It is believed that the house has become a haven for robbers who hide and wait to attack their victims from it. The house is merely a hulking, windowless, and ugly structure that has been a main eyesore in this area for a long time, therefore attracting the bad people.

Despite previous attempts by different people to engage with the local Board of Health to act on this subject, there are no significant actions that have been implemented to solve the core problem. The house was once home to a family that relocated to another town four years ago, and it is presently a symbol of the town’s decline. The grass around the house has overgrown hence acting as an environmental health risk.

As the Mayor of this city, as well as a champion of spurring new development in this area, we would like to urge our leaders in the city to address this concern so as to make sure that every person is safe. Since the abandoned house at 45 Main Street is a property that is under the ownership of the city, we recommend that the house be pulled down, and a new structure be built there. Thank you in advance.
