Elizabeth proctor is the hero in the crucible rather than the obvious John proctor | MyPaperHub

A persuading essay on why Elizabeth is the hero in the crucible and not John Proctor.

Elizabeth in The crucible is a true hero by the way she responds to various issues. Defending the name of her husband after having an affair with Abigail and repossessing him back from Abigail is a great achievement.

Elizabeth is a true hero in the crucible by the fact that she learns that John Proctor, her husband, had affairs with Abigail. He is in a position to let her husband know that he was aware of what was happening, and she tries to use the best way possible to enhance the good name of her husband. Being a woman who is cold and upright, she can forgive the husband for the adultery offence just before she passed away (Miller 2003). To succeed, she deals with moral weakness. She becomes jealous when she learns what had gone on between Abigail and her husband. To stimulate the relationship with her husband pushed by the jealous she has over Abigail, she demands o know everything she finds pushing her husband to the edge.

This is a tactic that makes her husband have the feeling of her more than he had feelings over Abigail. She comes back to the picture, and Abigail is now jealous since she learns that John is back on the side of his husband (Miller 2003). These tactics make Elizabeth, a hero as she can repossess her husband from Abigail. Despite having jealousy over Abigail, she learns that the best way to curb this and repossess John is by showing concern over issues that stress him. She also tries to defend her husband over the lechery offense. She hence is a true hero from her achievements of defense against his husband and winning John back from Abigail though he had feelings over Abigail.
