Oral Presentation: Global Warming Speech for College | MyPaperHub

Good morning, students. I can guess from your facial expressions that you are eager to hear what I have to tell you concerning the topic of global warming. Indeed, due to the current climatic conditions around the globe, we all have to understand the root cause of such weather changes within the environment. First, I will begin with an introductory statement about the topic of global warming. What is global warming? The global warming is a climatic condition characterized by a continuing increase in the average temperate of the climate system of the earth. It occurs when the excess gases such as the carbon dioxide, greenhouse gases, and other air pollutants rise into the atmosphere. Once the excess gases rise into the atmosphere, they distort the ozone layer which regulates the amount of solar radiation reaching the earth’s surface, hence, causing the ultraviolet solar radiation to reach the earth’s surface and, thus, the continuous rise in the average temperature of the climate system of the earth.

As we can always see in the environment where we come from, from the television, and even from the current weather situation, the issue of global warming has greatly affected the well-being of the daily life. Among the effects of global warming include melting of glaciers, rising of the sea levels, and heat waves. The solution to the issue of global warming invites proper attempt on the cause of the global warming rather than handing its effects directly, this will help us eradicate permanently future effects of the global warming. Among the solutions that can be used to mitigate the global warming includes the use of friendly energy systems, afforestation, and use of renewable energy.

In conclusion, according to a research I once conducted on the issue from Hansen (1998), the most appropriate solution that will help mitigate the issue of global warming among the given is More specifically, according to me, afforestation is the most preferable and applicable way of reducing the global warming (Herron, Davis, & Jones, 2002). It involves the planting of trees and vegetation. The plant leaves take in carbon dioxide and in return release the oxygen into the atmosphere. The tendency of the plantation consuming carbon dioxide can help reduce the amount of the carbon dioxide gases released into the atmosphere. Thus, there will be less effect of the gases in the ozone layer. As a result, the effects of global warming will be automatically solved. The other ways are not easy to be applied because some of the activities contribute effectively to the daily economic activities. Planting the trees and vegetation is easy. I really appreciate your time and commitment. I kindly request you to spread the knowledge that we have shared today with the other people so that we can save ourselves from such damages caused by global warming.
