The book goes on to provide the different types of pain and how these affect older people. Pain in later life has been analyzed with regards to the differences that exist therein. Here, pain has been assessed in terms of diagnosis, aetiology, and treatment. The differences that exist with regards to pain have been analyzed statistically using data from old people. Co-morbidities, anxiety, depression, cognitive impairment, and mental health problems are some of the pain assessment platforms that have informed the analysis in the course of the book. The book also provides detailed information with regards to the treatment and management of the various types of pain present in later life.
