Rise of Tabloid News | MyPaperHub

Various newspapers develop their headlines along the basis of what particular set of wordings would cause trending in the social media platforms and increase the number of likes and visits to their websites and pages. Content focus and maintenance has greatly alleviated since each media outlet is concentrating on how to outdo each other in the acquisition of larger markets in addition to readership and viewership (Brookers 2000, p. 201). Production managers and directors have put efforts in the employment of beautiful and elegant women in the movie scenes and music videos to entice followers into avidly sticking to the given media. Online writing platforms have become avenues of advertising individual photos of either poorly dressed women through the exposing of particular sections of the body. Such efforts have been advanced at the urge to keep at par with the ever increasing competition from other media platforms

With the progress of shows such as keeping up with the Kardashians that majorly focus on women issues and concentrate on a given family addressing their daily activities have made huge following. Such a following has reduced the interest for mainstream news that outline breaking events and critically analyze the political side of government related activities. Surveys and other online polls suggest that most of the young generation prefer getting involved in news that show a lot of nudity and have attractive images of women (Bek 2014, p. 380). Non adherence to rules and regulations that govern the showing of respectful media content by most of these channels that prefer depicting of softer news has really undermined the efforts to curb the misuse of media freedom and rights. The topics discussed in these media platforms are quite sensitive and seek to catch the attention of each prospective viewer.
