Abstract
This paper discusses the various
futuristic issues expected to hit the Native Americans based on the past and
the current issues. Based on different scholarly and credible materials, the
document unleashes the significance and the effects of the issues to the
American future.
Futuristic issues of the Native
Americans based on historic and current issues.
Times are gone
when fortune tellers used to foretell the future and the weatherman forecast
when a bad tornado is about to go down. Gauging the past and the current to
foretell the future may sound like rocket science to many, but it’s nothing
bigger than logical analysis. Taking the historical and the current issues at
hand, the future of the Native Americans is clear to change or uphold. To begin
with, the aging population is rapidly increasing, endangering the government
funds in the health care system. The aging population is not only dependent but
also the greatest consumer of the health services in the country. A lot of
government money is being used to promote the aged medical services, and the
taxes shoot every day to service the industry. The future of the Native
Americans remains dull unless something is done to rectify the issue. (Thomas
D. Watts University of Texas at Arlington & Joseph P. Bohanon, University
of Southern Mississippi, n.d., p. xx)
Based on recent
reports and census, the Native American tribe is endangered with the rise of
the increasing ethnic populations. The rising numbers of ethnic tribes might
render the Native Americans extinct in the near future, making it a lost
civilization in their own mother land. The Native Americans need to come up
with remedies towards upholding the continuity of their tribe. ("Changing
Racial and Ethnic Composition of the US Population: Emerging American
Identities," 2010)
Finally, funding
the war against terrorism has become a menace as far as funding is concerned,
threatening the American future. The increasing activities in the war against
terrorism in America have deprived the country a great fortune. Since the 9/11
attack when a horrible terror attack befell America, the country has been
funding military activities against terrorism. Supporting the military
expenditures and social welfare has become the norm in America, with huge amounts
of development funds and taxpayer money being drained in war. An amicable
solution needs to be developed to save the Native American future from
terrorism, to save on the military expenditure, and hence give room for future
development. (Neta C. Crawford2 Boston University, 2016, p. xx)
Discussion
Based on the
discussion above, the American dream of development is endangered calling for
lasting remedies. The American culture
is also under threat following the growing ethnic tribes in their country
calling for mass action to protect their future.
