The film, Taxi Driver, is among the best artistic films that have ever been produced. This film is less of a realistic drama in comparison to its tumult of the unconscious. The occurrences that are portrayed in this film could not come about in the contemporary world. The film portrays an ostensibly all to actual description of the mind of human minds, as well as the potential of the limits it has. The film’s fascinating story arises from its wonderful creation of the character Travis. The main message in the film seems to be on the theme of “Loneliness in Crowds.” it is possible for a person to perceive that there are different cases of urban isolation that takes place in the cities, for instance, New York. Travis shows resentment regarding the pretension of individuals in his cab who treat him as if he does not exist. The city of New York  has many individuals who do not take care of one another. In the film, Travis represents the only lonely character. To some extent, the perception of New York is a reflection of Travis isolation, despite that he is not the only person who is suffering from it.

The director does a lot of effort in attempting to deliver a message to the audience in relation to Travis. In the film Taxi Driver, Travis is portrayed as a man who is experiencing loneliness and also pose a risk of violence.  The inner psyche is in no way authentic, but rather horrendous. The director makes the audience seem as if it is floating in the mind of Bickle. The narration of this film does not make it be less a documentary belonging to the human mind rather than to be a story.

There is a cultural that is connected to the film “Taxi Driver.” The film Taxi Driver has cultural agenda during the narration of its plot. The film tries to explain the cultures that exist in big cities such as New York where every person is not concerned about the rest. This portrays the culture of the U.S. during the 1960’s. Therefore, the film Taxi Driver, is, therefore, ; as a result considered as having some cultural or historical  significance.  This implies that the film represents those occurrences that were taking place within that time, as well as their significance, making the audience connect with his audience.

Music: The music in the film by Bernard Herrmann marked the final attainment prior to his death in 1975. The director of the film makes use of this music so as to set the different setting during the course of the film.

The director of the film applies different aspects in the film Taxi Driver, such as the characters involved, the setting, the colors, as well as the music. All these have the effect of bringing together all that which the director wanted to pass to the final audience.

There are as well other sub-themes that are found in the film. They include the sub-themes of pre-determined vs. Self-directed fate, as well as the adoration of violence. Travis, who is the main actor regularly, changes his opinion on whether he is in total control of his fate or destiny or whether if the fate in determined in advance. The other apparent theme in this film is the adoration of violence. Other characters who are in the film school such as Wizard as well tends to have an idea in relation to the change in her destiny. The abrupt conclusion of the film Taxi Driver shows how the contemporary society glorifies violence against other people. It is ironic how Travis, who is a continuous social outsider, becomes a celebrity through act of violating the law. As a law-abiding individual, Travis was invisible, but as a murderer, he turns out to be a hero. This aspect validates the criticism that Travis advances towards the society in New York.

The thesis statement that the director seemed to have been to highlight the negative aspects of the New York society. In the film, the subject of sex as well as sexuality is as well central to it. In a broader sense, the film presents the nature of a society that is managed by people, who are powerless in addressing the problems that are facing the society.

The director, however seems to have highlighted adequate reasons that can have the capacity New York city behave. If this aspect was put into consideration, it would have made the argument much stronger, hence convincing. The breakup that takes place between Travis, as well as Betsy, is what drives Travis off to the edge and then starts his descent in the direction of mental instability as well as psychotic rampages.

The intended audience for the “argument seem to be young men who are longing for the city life. The film aims at making young people learn about the life of the contemporary city, with the intention of providing them with the necessary skills to cope up with it. Nonetheless, the argument presented in the film is not credible, as Travis cannot be able to scrap out all the immoral people in their immoral activities by the use of a gun, but he should have engaged in other measures in addressing the issue. However, Travis selected his individual free will in solving his explanation.

The Film brings about the issues of sexism, racism, alienation, as well as political corruption. In addition, the film also touches on a sensitive area of armaments. As a taxi driver, there are many broadly dissimilar social groups that he has gone ahead. The taxi driver seems to complain about his treatment by his clients. The director however seems to have highlighted adequate reasons that can make further explanation in relation to how the people in New York city behave. If this aspect was put into consideration, it would have made the argument much stronger, hence convincing. The breakup that takes place between Travis, as well as Betsy, is what drives Travis off to the edge and then starts his descent in the direction of mental instability as well as psychotic rampages.
